Today we went to the Swabian Alb, specifically to Pfullingen, a small town near Reutlingen. I had planned two tours - the "Pfullinger Sagenweg" and the premium hiking trail "Hochgehtürmt". As the Sagenweg is only about 4km long, I didn't want to record it separately and added the pictures of the wooden carved legendary figures to the "main tour". Unfortunately, it was full on the Alb today...but that was to be expected from "Vadderdach". Nevertheless, a very nice tour with many wonderful panoramic views and lots of "light rock" 😉, for which this region is known. The beautiful Lichtenstein Castle is in the immediate vicinity. The hiking trail is recommended, perhaps not on a public holiday. It has tough climbs, mystical forests and great panoramas to offer. The Schönbergturm with its interesting double tower construction is a real eye-catcher - it was fun!
Beautiful tour... Highly recommended. However, I would definitely set the difficulty level to medium. I didn't find anything difficult here😎😎
On the way on well-known paths, we started today's tour from the Ahlsberg hiking car park in Pfullingen to walk straight up to the Schönberg Tower. Nice idyllic paths on the Alb plateau and then along the eaves run here to the Pfullinger Unterhos. The view from up there is beautiful, but the black clouds were already getting closer. So we quickly went on through the forest to the Wackerstein, a great vantage point with a cross and a diary in which you can write your name. Leave a short greeting here, meanwhile it has already thundered properly. We hurried the rest of the way to avoid getting wet and made it back to the car in time.
After my plans for Kirchheim am Teck were somewhat disrupted by the train, I switched to the Pfullingen Pleasure Trail. My original starting point was Jahnstraße, but I just missed it, so I started at the Ahlsteig. I headed towards the starting point and then followed the very well-marked trail uphill. The snow made it a beautiful wintery path to the Wackenstein, offering a magnificent view. Afterwards, I continued towards the Schöneberg Tower, which was open for climbing. The view was also fantastic. If you plan to hike this trail in these conditions, you should wear proper footwear and have plenty of time. The descent can be a bit slippery, especially after the tower. I then returned to Jahnstraße and caught the bus home.
Done - the 21st high-altitude tour behind us and thus all hiked in 2021. Great tours through the Swabian Alb biosphere area
Today we went to Pfullingen at cool 0 degrees.... the Pfullinger Onderhus, the Schönbergturm should be included in our hike. As always, Hochgehberge premium hiking trails are well signposted. Sturdy shoes and hiking poles were quite helpful on this tour, which sometimes took us on single trails with loose underground led. We were rewarded with a beautiful view on the Wackerstein.
That's an extraordinary tower on the Schönberg, it's 26 m high and there's a staircase at each foot. From the top you have a great view over Pfullingen in the area. The tour is very varied with beautiful paths, you will pass rocks and great vantage points. Tour Dates: Tour length: 9.4 km Ascent 367 m Highest point: 829 m Walking time: 3:30 hours Surefootedness: ⚫️⚫️⚪⚪ Difficulty: ⚫️⚫️⚪️⚪️ Experience points: ⚫⚫⚪️⚪️ Suitability for prams: no, but great for slightly older children Best regards Simone and Werner an extraordinary tower on the "high tower" hiking trail https://youtu.be/35Jtp4VTTgk

Great tour, because you don't walk a single meter on asphalt but on beautiful forest and sometimes also on meadow paths.
Since 90% of the tour takes place in the forest, it is ideal for warmer days.
