Welcome to Rottweil, the oldest city in Baden-Württemberg. On this tour, you will rediscover Rottweil on old paths and enjoy charming views of the magnificent cityscape.

You start at the "Schwarzes Tor" bus stop and stroll through the picturesque main street with its well-preserved bourgeois houses to the Tourist Information. From there, the path leads you over the viaduct down to the Neckar and through the forest to several viewpoints with impressive views of the historic cityscape.

Further viewpoints and a spring, idyllically emerging from under a tree root, await you. The path now winds down into the valley in steps. Take a look back at the magnificent tuff stones that have formed in this place. Once you reach the valley floor, the imposing "Löwenmaul" (Lion's Mouth), a eerily beautiful shell limestone rock, opens up above you. Along the Neckar and through a beech grove, you will reach the König-Karl-Brücke. Here it is worth lingering for a moment and soaking in the views of the city and the old mills before you return to the center.
