This route, accessible to anyone, takes you along one of the most fascinating stretches of the Riviera del Brenta. You'll pedal along towpaths and secondary roads beside the waters of the Naviglio del Brenta, passing through towns rich in history and noble residences that tell the story of the Serenissima's glorious past.
Leaving Noventa Padovana, you'll reach Stra, home to the monumental Villa Pisani, one of the most spectacular Venetian villas. Built in the 18th century as the residence of the powerful Pisani family, it now houses precious frescoes, a famous labyrinth, and a monumental park that are well worth a visit.
Continue towards Dolo, where the river landscape alternates between ancient villas, bridges, locks, and gardens reflected in the water. On Via Brenta Bassa, before Mira, you'll pass by the evocative Casa del Mosaico, also known as Casa di Tiso. Its mosaic entrance is the result of the imaginative creativity of Armando Tiso, a retired sailor who used to recover discarded ceramics to create his colorful works.
The final part of the route crosses Malcontenta, dominated by Villa Foscari (designed in the 16th century by the renowned architect Palladio), before leading you to Fusina. Here, the canal meets the Venetian Lagoon, and the panorama opens up to the water, with views stretching to the skyline of the lagoon city.
