Rørbæk Lake

Highlight • Lake

Rørbæk Lake is beautifully situated near Vester Mølle and is surrounded by protected forests and hilly terrain. There are good opportunities for outdoor activities, such as fishing trips, hikes, and bike rides, and it's the perfect place for your next family outing.

You can catch pike, bream, and other freshwater fish in the lake. Skjern Å flows through Rørbæk Lake, Kulsø Lake, and Hastrup Lake, which lie like pearls on a string in the beautiful nature of Central Jutland. The fishing lakes in the area are impressive and large, offering enough challenges for several days of fishing for all ages.

The lake was formed by the melting of a huge block of ice in the valley floor, and the water was previously very clean. Over time, there was a lot of pollution, but in recent years the water quality has improved, and plants are growing again on the lake bottom.

VisitHerning provides a brochure about the area with tips and instructions for activities, hikes, and more.
