This is the section of the Pilgrim Trail in Dalsland that goes the 100 kilometres between Vänersborg and Åmål. It takes you on pristine forest paths, through manicured agricultural land, and of course there are the obligatory hilly parts.

I spent two nights at Lake Glycksjön and had the lake to myself for two whole days. It’s a dreamlike spot. The cabin is a bit leaky, and when it rains, it can be tricky to find a spot where it doesn’t drip, but overall it’s a cozy little place with a fire pit both inside and outside the cabin. There’s also a small toilet hut.
