The glacial pot of the Krai-Woog-Gumpen and the waterfall below are a wonderful Ice Age relic. In summer, a popular spot for swimming.

Here you walk on wooden planks across the moorland with a fantastic view. An information board provides information about the moor in times of climate change.

We started from the Steinerne Kreuz hiking car park, but there are few parking spaces here.
The tour itself, well, the moor landscapes with the meadows were very beautiful, the glacier mill is really worth looking at.
Short beautiful path, otherwise forest roads, many forest roads .. and about 1.5 km along the road with little traffic. It wasn't bad …

The richness of peat bogs in the area of Schwarzenbächle owes its origin and existence to three factors:
- the Ice Age, whose glaciers left behind clay- and silt-rich ground moraines that form a dense subsoil prone to waterlogging;
- the sub-Atlantic climate, which ensures high precipitation throughout the year at low average annual temperatures;
- the surface of the …

There is no such thing as bad weather, they say...😅
A pleasant lap to run, but it would be more fun in the dry...
Especially the planks of the Sieben-Moore-Weg in the Oberen Hotzenwald, which were slippery due to the rain, were sometimes difficult - so step carefully here 😉
Definitely the highlight of the tour for me: Krai-Woog-Gumpen and …

Running well but not nearly as attractive as described. I imagined more below

Wonderful nature, very interesting information about the moors and, as a highlight, cooling off in the Krai-Woog-Gumpen. Don't forget your swimwear, or at least a towel for your legs.

Since my cube is unfortunately still in the workshop, I put on my hiking boots again today and off to Herrischried near the Murgquelle to the Iron Cross. Our goal is the glacier mills of Krai Woog Gumpen. 10km through beautiful forests. What a luxury to live just a stone's throw away. Thankseeee for refueling nature. 🌲🌼

A lot through the snow, but the path was ours. Above all, the Vespers at the waterfall was the absolute highlight. I can really recommend the tour 🤗

The 7 Moorenweg is now very well signposted. Unfortunately, the GPS connection often fails, which is why the recordings are a bit odd. The distance information is also certainly not correct.
