Lots of variety and Waldbreitbach in the Wiedtal from its most beautiful side, this is how this Wäller tour presents itself. Impressive paths lead you up to the Bärenkopp. In doing so, you rarely lose sight of the wonderful Wied.

Hurray, finally again, a tour that is worth recommending 🎂🤗👌🥰
Very nice tour, well signposted and we didn't have any rain on the tour today 😀.
Unfortunately there are no places to stop for refreshments, neither at the monastery nor on the way.
From Waldbreitbach, the trail leads along the banks of the Wied River to the heights of the Westerwald. After the start, you quickly leave Waldbreitbach and follow the Wied River. Beyond the campsite, the path passes the old Jewish cemetery and ascends in long switchbacks. The rugged Hochschneider Seifen is a natural beauty with eroded basalt pools to the right and rock faces to the left of the path. From the Bärenkopp summit cross at 304 meters, you're rewarded with a fantastic view of the valley after the climb. The high-altitude trail passes the Luh Chapel. All imaginable forest formations and narrow paths provide plenty of variety along the 11.6 km route. The Wäller Tour Bärenkopp was nominated by Wandermagazin (Hiking Magazine) for Germany's most beautiful hiking trail in 2019. A wonderful tour! 🥾🎒
Crosses accompanied me today. I asked myself where the expression "it's a cross with you" comes from. Does this sentence mean too much presence or too much absence? Did I venture too far, or was I too far away? As I was alone, I didn't have to worry about any of that. 🫠 I was able to enjoy it 😎...Start at Schäfers Kreuz, then the view from Bärenkopp Kreuz and Weißes Kreuz into the Wiedtal. 🤩 Descent on great paths into the valley and via the Stations of the Cross to Marienhaus Monastery. Coffee and cake will not be available during the week until April. Instead, I treated myself to a 🎁 surprise package. Now I have to switch on my home cinema again. What a task. 😅 The last cross then at Luh Kapellchen. There is still some little guy in the background who decides when Komoot wants to pause. It's a cross...so don't be surprised...🤷♀️ And because I couldn't get enough, I went on an additional georoute to get a good breath of fresh air.
Only paths up to Bärenkopp. Then over the heights on meadow paths with a view of the Volcanic Eifel. Beautiful tour!
Summer hike to the summit of the Bärenkopp through a beautiful deciduous forest. The view from the summit cross is wonderful. On a few slopes, the bark beetle, heat and storms have brought some spruce trees to their knees. The second part of the route went through meadows and fields. You could watch the farmers at work. There were great views as far as the Siebengebirge. At the end, the path went down into the valley via the Way of the Cross at the Waldbreitbach Monastery. It was just beautiful.......
I didn't feel like it today, but then I didn't feel like staying at home either 😄..I thought about it briefly and decided to visit the Wällertour Bärenkopp again. It's been a long time and I was last in the Christmas village in Waldbreitbach. What is there to say, it's just a really wonderful tour👍😉
