This route was planned by komoot.
We were actually hiking in the Palatinate this weekend, but this morning it was covered in dense rain clouds. As a result, we drove spontaneously early towards home, always towards the sun. We came across this beautiful forest tour, even if the Fuchtenwald is in a terrible state like in all low mountain ranges. Accompanied by lake sculptures, this hike was very entertaining.
Beautifully lonely (morning at 8.00) and no great landscape. Start and finish was the hiking car park at the country hotel
Today I was drawn back to the Westerwald. Of course, the circular trail I hiked today was another Wäller Tour: https://www.westerwald.info/d/waeller-tour-eisenbachtal-nomborn/ I hiked this circular trail over two years ago. Since I remembered it as being quite varied, it was worth doing again, regardless of its relatively easy difficulty level. One thing surprises me, though: There are still relatively few rest areas on this circular trail. I think it's a shame that this hasn't been improved in the last two years. Especially since this trail is also suitable for less experienced hikers.
Today we went hiking without snow, and unfortunately without trees... Well, at least partly, the bark beetle has hit hard here, but it's nice to see that the area is being properly reforested. The hike was quite short, but ideal if you have to work in the morning.
Today we went on one of the shorter Wäller tours. A beautiful circular route that's pleasant to walk. Unfortunately, this tour doesn't offer great views, but you can't have everything - it's still recommended.
When the phone rings at 7.21 a.m., someone says good morning and asks if we can go for a walk together again after lunch, there's no way we can say no😅...so we picked up a 6-year-old who was wrapped up warmly and went for a nice walk through the always beautiful Eisenbach valley in the constant frost😉It was lovely and we had fun 😄
https://www.westerwald.info/rundwanderwege.html About half of the circular hiking trail leads through the Eisenbachtal. Then mostly quiet forest paths with some bare areas. At the end of the tour I hiked to the Bornkasten summit.
