Hiking

This hike takes you to discover the charming valley floor of Valgrisenche, starting right where the asphalt road ends, near Les Usellières. Joining trail no. 12, you begin to ascend a path of blooms and waterfalls. It skirts the stream, passing through the alpine pastures of Tsalé and Saxe Savoie.

After the first part, the trail develops steadily and without particular technical difficulties: tackling an elevation gain of about 500 meters, the dirt path finally flattens out to reveal the incredible natural panorama, enclosed by peaks and majestic glacial moraines.

You will be welcomed by the historic Rifugio Mario Bezzi, built between 1925 and 1927 originally as an alpine and military outpost. Besides admiring this historic building, here you can enjoy a regenerating break to savor the dishes of typical traditional mountain cuisine or, if you decide to stay overnight (by reservation), use its 82 beds spread across 20 cozy rooms.
