Hiking
You start at Elzach station and leave the town after crossing the Elz. On idyllic paths, you hike through forests and meadows, with beautiful views of the Elztal valley and the surrounding villages. The route is undulating, and along the way, you'll find several rest stops with seating.
You descend to Prechtal, cross the Elz again, walk along a beautiful trail along the river, and climb back up on the other side. Once at the top, you reach a nice resting spot with a bench and a lounger. Shortly after, you can take a detour to the Fischerhütte, where grilled trout is on the menu.
Just before the loop closes, the highlight of the tour awaits you: the Goldener Kopf. Here you'll find not only the Goldener Kopf-Hütte as a cozy resting place but also a great viewpoint with a view of the Elztal valley and the surrounding heights. Afterwards, you head back to Elzach station.

Actually, this is a hiking tour, which we made into the NW tour without further ado 😊.
Perfectly signposted and beautiful paths. Something of all types of paths.
Nice, but with the constant up and down, then also a crisp round

In bright sunshine and the ideal hiking temperature, we started at the train station in Elzach. The tour is very well signposted. Due to the ups and downs, as can be seen in the elevation profile, it is quite strenuous. I was no longer aware that 12km can drain me like …

From Elzach, the route alternates between forests and pastures with fantastic views and lush green meadows.
At the height of Ankenbühl, you have a beautiful view of the 1,000-meter peaks opposite, such as Rohrhardsberg and Braunhörnle.
