A quick journey through time: This challenging gravel bike tour from Lake Wörthersee through the Rosental and the Keutschach Valley combines speeding along gravel paths with discovering lost places from bygone days.

The highlights along this challenging gravel bike tour are up to 2,800 years old. Starting from Lake Wörthersee, you'll pass burial mounds from the Hallstatt period into the Rosental. Slightly off the track is the "Chapel of Forgotten Souls," shot up during the Carinthian Abwehrkampf, before an old railway bridge appears overhead. Waiting for a train makes no sense – rail traffic has been discontinued.

We reach Maria Rain via the Drau Cycle Path with a truly "imperial" view of the route covered so far. The way back through the Keutschach Valley, which again offers great opportunities for speeding along, is brightened by a lost place from the time when there were still "exchange offices" and tourism in Austria was called "Fremdenverkehr" (visitor traffic).
