Hochfilzen and Leogang are two places firmly associated with top international sports. You're thinking of fast shooting series in biathlon and spectacular downhill runs on a mountain bike. You can reach both places on this tour starting from Saalbach.

You start at the Saalbach Tourist Information. First, you cycle relaxed up to the Spielberghaus via the Spielbergweg and then cycle towards Hochfilzen. Welcome to the biathlon mecca. Several World Championships have already taken place here, and the World Cup meeting in Hochfilzen is also an annual highlight in the biathlon calendar. You might even see some biathlon stars during their summer training.

From one World Championship location, you head to the next – off to Leogang. In 2020 and 2012, the rainbow jerseys were raced for here. In 2028, there will be another Mountain Bike World Championship in Leogang. In addition to the elite, ordinary MTB riders can also let off steam in the Epic Bikepark Leogang. You still have a demanding sporting session ahead of you: up to the Kleiner and Großer Asitz and then back to Saalbach.
