Small afternoon tour from Pörtschach around Lake Wörthersee 🚴♀️🚴♂️ took advantage of the nice weather today. Signposted, no further explanation needed 😅 we drive via Velden, Maria Wörth. Stop off there and take a break at the jetty. Enjoy ice cream and espresso right by the lake. Continue along to Klagenfurt Seebad and back to Pörtschach. Cycle path often also road. We took the footpath that goes around the whole lake because there wasn't much going on 🙃. 🚴♀️🚴♂️☀️
For the most part, the cycle path is well-developed, but the rich and beautiful people on the lake have barricaded their properties with walls and hedges, thus also blocking the view of the lake.
In very mixed weather with 3 🌧️-⛈️ breaks, we circled the Wörthersee today and arrived back in Klagenfurt with a bright 🌞. Due to the bad weather, quick refreshments in the cool water at the many public bathing areas around Lake Wörthersee had to be omitted today.

It's a good place to cycle, even if there is no cycle path on the south bank. There are hardly any simple snack bars here, but you get a great panorama.
An unbelievable experience, the many facets! recommendation
After two days of rest, I got back in the saddle today and circled the Wörthersee in my Holden. From the carving speed you can already guess that I was not alone on the road. Monika Schauinsland just likes to look, that's right, she thinks I only eat up kilometers. Of course that's not true, I also see everything passing me by a little faster. Very nice trip, because it wasn't as hot as the last few days.
Day 2: Once you arrive in the area, a trip to Lake Wörthersee is a must. 😎 Well, what can you say, it's past its best years. You can see the gnawing of time everywhere. Provided you want to see it. 😏 A burnt-down house here, a crumbling villa there and dilapidated fences of course. 🤭 Of course there are also beautiful and rich people here. Although it has to be said again: If you're beautiful, you don't have to be rich. And if you're rich, you don't have to be beautiful. 🤭 There are also magnificent villas/hotels. Most of them in Velden. Where it seems like the place is dancing all day long. 😵💫 Unfortunately, there are only a few places where you can still get to the water. Everything here is built up, except for a few cm2. A bit of a shame, because it is beautifully nestled between the rolling hills. ⛰ Less would definitely be more here. 🤓
