This waterway path leads you from Sölden to the Windache valley. At this point, a Waalweg was modeled. These are narrow, wooden canals on which the valley dwellers once directed the water into the valley. The Waalwege in Windachental are equipped with all sorts of barriers, basins and water wheels…

Water Runner Waalweg Mooserstegle Sölden A fantastic little walk through nature. Very informative and found a nice barbecue spot. A great start to the week in Sölden.
The Waalweg trail was our solution for a nice hike in Sölden before darkness set in again. After we came down from the 3,000,000 m, we walked along the water, then immediately climbed steeply again. It's already 26°C and too warm for us. The trail leads into the forest, sheltered from the sun. Suddenly, a new challenge presents itself: sheep are being rubbed on our way down to the valley, running us over 😅. Eventually, we reach the water, and it gets cooler, just the way we like it. We continue along the Waalweg trail into the valley. A beautiful end to the day.
