Trail Reviews

Renner Anderson
September 1, 2024, Recovery Walk on the Otsego County Park Walking Path 2024-09-01

As Martha and I walked this lovely park again, I felt as if I were in Celestville, an imaginary place of my childhood. Life seemed so gentle and relaxed. Families were walking the trail with children, but there were also older couples like ourselves. Everybody was considerate of one another; almost everybody smiled and said hello. There didn't seem to be the remoteness and isolation I often encounter on the trail these days. If komoot should ever make this trail into a Smart Tour, local komooters should know that this trail does not offer high adventure and challenge, but if you are looking for peace, beauty, calmness, and beauty, you can find them here. Another feature that I have become more aware of in my present circumstances of recovering from a spinal injury is that the trail is smoothly paved, making it very accessible to those with impairment, including those who require a wheelchair or walker.
