Trail Reviews

MLK
June 3, 2023, Summertime: Las Virgenes Canyon hike

I had seen the photos of astonishing Californian wildflowers, resulting from the unusual rainfall this year. We have driven past Calabasas on the 101 many times and yet I had never thought to explore the hidden hills to the north. Now with the sun back out, we drove past the urban sprawl and started hiking in Las Virgenes Canyon. And what a treat! Rolling hills, lush vegetation, wildflowers and great laughs entertained us while Serafina was high up in the air, busy reinterpreting Sublime's classic version of Summertime: Summertime, and the livin's easy Bradley's on the microphone with Ras MG All the people in the dance will agree That we're well-qualified to represent the L.B.C Me, me and Louie, we gonna run to the party And dance to the rhythm, it gets harder https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03pm1gwsvu8
