Observation Tower

Highlight • Monument

This observation tower is built over a marshy woodland, about one story above ground, to provide an overhead view of any wildlife and their home below. Be careful, as there are snakes in this area, it's their natural habitat. Just a few meters away is Studmaster Park, with benches, picnic benches, barbecues, and a playground.

September 23, 2024, "Lake Joondalup!" - Perth 🇦🇺 (Tag 10) - Neil Hawkins Park, Yellagonga Regional Park, Wanneroo Pines und Donelly Park - ⬆️192⬇️192...🥾😁🤙🍻

Once again, a wonderful good evening! It's cold here! Sunny, but pretty cool, including a strong wind! :-) Just a side note! After breakfast, I headed to the train station and drove to Joondalup! I love taking the train! Just sitting, looking out the window and planning the next tours in my head! :-)) It wasn't far from the train station to Neil Hawkins Park, which is right on Lake Joondalup! I started the round clockwise, because that way the sun was better for photos! While there were still a few people at the start, after the northern tip it was mostly quiet! The stretch along the road didn't bother me too much. Today, probably because of the public holiday, hardly anyone was driving! The small parks on the eastern shore of the lake were very welcome, also because I could always fill up my drinking water supply there (every public park in this area has a drinking water dispenser)! When I left the south side behind me, several of my favorites appeared on the west side: The pine cone skink, or here called the blue tongue lizard (can you find it in photo 26?)! :-)) I admired the funny creatures for a while before I found myself back at Hawkins Park! I took the same route to the train station as at the beginning of the tour! Buy a ticket at the station, wait for the train, get on it and think about the next plans! It was another great day! :-) Good night to Germany!
