The Col d'Arlaz loop starts from the Verrès station and immediately immerses you in history: the majestic castle dominates the town center and offers spectacular views of the valley, providing a true journey back in time.

Once you reach Col d'Arlaz, which connects Montjovet to the Val d'Ayas, a breathtaking view of the valley below opens up before you. From here, take the detour that leads to the Orbeillaz waterfall, nestled in the woods, and be amazed by its power and beauty.

The subsequent descent alternates between dirt roads and paved roads, offering panoramic views and natural vistas. Immediately after the hill, you'll encounter the Mulino d'Arlaz, dating back to the early 19th century and now restored. In the hamlet of Barmachande, follow the signs for Lake Villa, before gently returning to Verrès, completing the loop amidst history, nature, and unforgettable landscapes.
