The Three Passes Tour starts in Todtnau. The first three kilometers offer a relaxed warm-up before the road climbs noticeably, leading you to the first challenge of the day: the Wachtpass. This crossing from the Präg Valley to the Bernau Valley is particularly pleasant. From Präg, the country road winds its way up to the pass summit at just under 1,000 meters, with a moderate gradient.

After crossing the Bernau Valley, the Äulemer Kreuz pass awaits, the scenic highlight of the tour. This pass takes you to an altitude of around 1,100 meters and deposits you at the western end of the Schluchsee lake. It's the perfect section to enjoy the idyllic Black Forest scenery before the challenging finale.

The Feldberg Pass provides the crowning glory and is an absolute must for every road cyclist. As the Feldberg, the highest peak in the Black Forest, is a major tourist attraction, so it's often quite busy here. A little tip for a more peaceful ride: Plan this section for early morning or late afternoon when the tourist traffic has thinned out. Once you reach the top, you'll have earned the exhilarating descent that will take you directly back to your starting point in Todtnau via the switchbacks.

Very nice tour, section Bundesstraße Passhöhe Feldberg should be driven on the weekend before 7 hours because then there is hardly any traffic. Great descent down to Todtnau.
