The weather was nice, the bike and I got oiled and then we set off. Breathtaking impressions. You can't even capture them on camera.

Today the tour shortened so that we can stay dry. Greetings to the rain radar who has completely tricked us😉 Homeward now

A short regeneration tour before tomorrow's Dolomiti Bike Day to round off the week in the Dolomites. After the 5,000 meters of elevation gain over the last two days, my thighs refused to take the climb up to the Three Peaks. It's just a dead end anyway - so you can save yourself the trouble 😇.

Great tour from Cortina. Unfortunately, my 🔋 to the top weren't enough to drive the last 1.5 km with up to 18%... and still had a lot of fun seeing beautiful mountain ranges.

We start from Cortina and immediately climb towards the Passo Tre Croci along 8km with an average gradient of 7.5% and stretches at 14%. Once we reach the top, we descend towards Misurina which is reached after some stretches of false flat uphill. From the lake there are 7.5km to the summit of which 3.5km are rideable with the exception of a short stretch at 16% which is particularly difficult but it is only the prelude to what will appear 3.8km from the summit. Constant gradients above 11% so much so that in a very short stretch of 500m at 9% you will feel like you are catching your breath. The stretch at 19% 1.5km from the summit is merciless. Not even the final hairpin bends, traversed in the widest space will give you any respite. But arriving at the summit will give you indescribable emotions for the landscape that you can enjoy at 360° on the imposing Dolomite mountains and for the satisfaction of having accomplished an incredible feat. The return is a long descent along state road 51 to Cortina d'Ampezzo, the starting point where the loop ends.

Tour up first to the Passo Tre Croci then on to Lake Misurina 🤩 then we went to the toll road (free for 🚲 u hikers) tre cemi (three peaks mountain road) which is really only for the really hard RR, I was really happy when I did above was 🥵 I don't think I do that anymore. Better with a Mtb the 6km 11-17% high.

Beautiful. As a reasonably fit 59 year old, I found the Tre Cimi climb very challenging and had to take a few stops to regather. But it is at points so steep (>14% for parts and on one switch back >20%) it was difficult to start up again!

Today there was a stroll with a wonderful vantage point: the Albergo at the three peaks. 😱😱😱🥶🥶🥶 I was a little nervous when after 23 km 1350 Hm should be on the speedometer and one or the other descent is also included. From Cortina we first went to the Passo tre Crocci, which already has ramps in the range of 12 percent. The final opponent, however, is the ascent to the Drei Zinnen: 5km with 500m of altitude difference and gradient percentages of up to 18% (felt even more). But we all made it and rewarded ourselves with a delicious lunch. On the descent, however, there was sleet and it was at least as exhausting. The rest of the tour led over a long descent and a small pass whose name I forgot.
