The ascent, which is very steep at the beginning, is usually the last thing down. However, we decided to start the tour like this because it is completely in the shade as we enter the valley in October, which really got us going. A little further, almost as expected, woodwork blocked our way again. Luckily today was Sunday and so we sneaked past under the piled up wood and truck. 😏 As expected, the Melager Alm had already ended its season and we didn't care. So we cycled very relaxed our small, fine round on the sunny side at the hamlet of Melag back out of the valley.🙂
The Melager Alm is in an idyllic location and has a very good kitchen.
After it had rained extensively this morning, we could only start a tour in the afternoon. Our destination was the Melageralm, where the reward was apple strudel and cappuccino 😅. Then we went back to the valley where we actually wanted to go around the Reschensee. Unfortunately, at that point in time, thick clouds appeared again, which announced the next rain. So we had to postpone the tour around Lake Reschen to another day.
