Cycling

This pleasant flatland cycling tour connects Ferrara to Mesola, following the right bank of the Po River, along one of the most continuous and flowing sections of the FE20 cycle route, also known as the "Destra Po."

You leave the historic center of Ferrara and its imposing Estense Castle, crossing the walls, then quickly join the riverbank. From here, you pedal on asphalt through peaceful flatland landscapes: cultivated fields, floodplains, and small towns linked to the area's fluvial history. The river is often hidden behind the banks, which here rise like long green ridges, but the landscape is open and peaceful.

After Ro and Serravalle, you continue easily to Mesola, where the finish line is marked by Mesola Castle, a former Este residence on the edge of the Mesola Forest. With approximately 70 kilometers in total, you can decide whether to tackle the tour in a single day or split it into several stages.

Track taken from komoot by Anna Orsatti ... also good for the others

Very easy tour always on the dam. If you are looking for shade here, you will look in vain. The destination of this tour is highly recommended for overnight stays. The temperatures are borderline and will rise to 38 degrees tomorrow.
