Cultural Trail No. 1 (Egloffstein - Schweinthal - Mostviel - Egloffstein) 🅿️ Hiking car park in Egloffstein The circular trail is not stingy with many small scenic attractions. Hikers can look at the rock gate and explore the women's cave with a flashlight. The landscape is constantly changing - from the plateau to the forests on the slope to the open Trubachaue. Other sights are the old irrigation system at Mostviel and the Balkenstein as well as the Pfarrfelsen, from which you have a great view of the entire valley at the end of the circular trail. There are three climbs worth mentioning on the route. The first is the climb up to the rock gate, it is around 100 m (in serpentines, partly steps with railings). The second is the path to the plateau behind Schweinthal 170 m. The third climb is the climb to the Balkenstein on the way back, it is 110 m (in serpentines, partly steps with railings).
