Highland Hustle

Starting from the parking lot in Anger, we took the same route to the Adlgass turnoff as we did to the Stoisser Alm, which we avoided due to its popularity with (mostly) electric bikers. So, as mentioned, we took the Adlgass turnoff and then rolled out to the heights of Inzell, which we bypassed on the Moorweg (moor path) and immediately tackled the next climb from the Kesselalm – including a leisurely descent into Ruhpolding and into the Cafe Chiemgau, highly recommended. Then we followed the White Traun to the Bibelöd district and then an extremely steep ramp up to Miesbacher Strasse, which eventually leads back to a bike path. At Eisenärzt, we took the left bank of the White Traun again on a brisk gravel road to Siegsdorf. Then we followed the main road to Vorau, and from there it went up and down and up and down to Neukirchen and Achental, before climbing from Achental back up to Grafenberg. But then it's not far, and a short forest section down to a "Strade biance" rounds off the trip before we land back at the parking lot in Anger! It was beautiful—and already quite warm.
