Signposted tour: Mammut. ➡️ Starting point in Pfeffingen Most beautiful part between Pfeffingen and Hausen. A detour to downtown Hechingen is also worthwhile. The Obertorplatz has been redesigned with beautiful water features and an ice cream parlor 🍦☕. Unfortunately, there were 2 construction sites on the bike path that were not signposted with detours. Construction site 1⚠️🚧: After Killer, both the bike path and the road are closed, so go back to Killer and take the 2nd high path parallel to the bike path in the west. Attention: 1. Höhenweg becomes mud path. Unfortunately, we chose this route 🙈 According to the tourist authority, the construction site should have been removed by now. Construction site 2⚠️🚧: Balingen. The bike path on the Eyach is a complete construction site and must be bypassed. This is the original tour. Unfortunately, the recording has stopped.
This is actually a nice round, but the signs (signposts) leave something to be desired! The estate is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
This modest name came from the pen of the tourist brochure. There were no animals of this kind to be found. Not even from the observation tower on the Raichberg - a very worthwhile destination - we rushed past various intermediate destinations (Zillhauser waterfall). The advertised great signage with the said fur elephant has a few holes. It is better to download the GPX track from the Zollernalb.com website: https://www.zollernalb.com/touren/mammut-tour-radtour-quer-ueber-die-zollernalb-a69b989702
I was always a bit wary 🫡 of the mammoth 🦣 tour, as I travel more on foot 👣. And I have to say, it was wonderful but also exhausting for me. But now I'm glad I went 🚴🏽♀️

The tour actually starts and ends at Baligen train station and is 56 km long. So I tailored the tour so that it works for me from Ebingen. It was a very nice tour to ride.👍😁
Today's tour was a blast for us. The first negative thing: there are hardly any places to stop for refreshments – no comparison to the Palatinate region. And charging options, except for Starzeln: Nada! We had to beg for power at the Schützenhaus Frommern because from Hausen onwards, the climb was 11% for miles, unfortunately with a lot of car/motorcycle traffic, and the batteries were dying. From Zillhausen (no more waterfalls, a letdown), however, it was a really cool descent. A beautiful long downhill ride, what a pretzel. I'd rather not say anything about Hechingen. We looked for the Jewish synagogue and drove through the old part of Hechingen. The old houses were completely run down – I won't say anything about the people who live there. You can forget about Hechingen – no, stop: at the town entrance, there was a great park with a playground and a barefoot circuit. That was a positive.

The tour is beautiful! Yes, it has a few meters of elevation - but the landscape is unique and offers not only individual beautiful views but beautiful scenery throughout the entire tour
