Always follow the squirrel: The squirrel trail takes you along gravel paths and forest paths through the dense forest around the 513-meter-high Nickel. It starts at the Großer Lindenkopf car park near Oberjosbach. The hiking trail is marked with a squirrel.
You leave the town and soon hike through the beautiful forest. Who knows, maybe you can watch some squirrels jumping from tree to tree. Above Oberseelbach and Lenzhahn, a fantastic view of the Idstein region awaits you. If you don't have your own snack with you, you can stop off in one of the villages.
The trail continues through the forest back to Oberjosbach. At the end of the tour, you can cool off in the nearby forest swimming pool in Niedernhausen. Or you can make yourself comfortable in a wine tavern and treat yourself to an apple wine.
