Our route first leads us through the charming village and on to the cable car station, which looks as if it hasn't been in operation for ages.

Beautiful hike through deciduous forest. Shared, leafy paths/trails for bikers and hikers. At the summit we were rewarded with a wonderful view of Lake Lugano and a distant view of the Ticino and Valais mountains.

Truly a beautiful excursion, altitude difference not to be underestimated, the climb is steep and I consider hiking boots indispensable. Poles are now a necessity for me. Worth it, all in the shade.
