There are several paths to reach the refuge: the one I did starts from Brumano, takes about two hours, level E, with 900 meters of elevation gain. Very beautiful, panoramic in the last stretch, no passage of particular difficulty.

Trail Reviews

Davide Tramacere
January 9, 2023, Monte Resegone – Rifugio Luigi Azzoni Itinerario ad anello da Vecchio Borgo

Good snowfall on Thursday evening on Resegone and Morterone: 20 cm of snow. The road to get to Morterone was frozen in some places and reaching the parking lot was not easy. But once we arrived an expanse of soft snow awaited us. We start the climb with the sun and clear skies. The chosen route is the simplest one to get to Resegone (paths 16 and 17) which, despite the snow, is perfectly signposted. At the top we are welcomed by a wind that slaps us in various directions and the cold is truly remarkable. Stop at the famous Azzoni refuge. A hot tea and some sausages and the descent begins. Crampons and endless fun sliding down the slopes. Pure joy
