Finalborgo is a place worth seeing, a bit touristy, and a good starting point for various longer or shorter hikes. There are variants through forests, which is certainly pleasant in the warmer seasons. Good shoes and sure-footedness are an advantage.
From the Croce Vetta of the Rocca di Perti, above Finalborgo you can enjoy a spectacular view that ranges from the sea to the hinterland between Gorra and the Melogno col. The path starts from the Court square in Finalborgo and it takes about 1.20 1.30 hours to climb to the top... yes. You pass the two castles that are located above Finalborgo and once you arrive at the monumental area of Perti, you take the marked path that goes around the Church and from here you go up first arriving at the old Perti quarry and then after about 20 minutes to the summit cross .. on the way back you descend into the woods past the Croce, after a while you arrive at the beautiful and small cave of the Bric della Croce and then continue down to the Montesordo car park .. here we made a detour to visit the Grotta della Pollera, then returning to the same road we followed the road that led us to the beautiful church of the 5 Campanili, and then went back down behind the church along the path that after about 40 minutes brought us back to the center of Finalborgo
That was a demanding hike. The slopes in both directions are substantial. The path is quite overgrown in places. A machete would be an advantage. The view and the beautiful paths make up for the hardships 😀
