This route was planned by komoot.
Travel time and unreliable km traveled, without signal for an hour and a half
Nice route, tiring climb for the first two kilometers (and slightly exposed but more than feasible, of course worse downhill). The central part is a bit long and boring but the final view of the lakes is worth it. Ample free parking at the start with also public toilets
The time given by komoot is not entirely accurate. Because we had to avoid the snow in some places and find an alternative path, and because we also stopped to take a photo or two, it took us around 5 hours in total. Because of the snow towards Col de Nivolet and the approaching rain, we had to turn back. The ibexes were fantastic to see up close though!
