Church of San Fortunato (abbey of Santa Maria Annunziata Nuova di Scolca), from 1418. It was a rich abbey of the Olivetan Benedictines, built on the ruins of a castle donated to the monks of San Paolo hermit by Carlo Malatesta.
Seventeenth-century renovations and changes did not change the substantial Renaissance impact of the church.

The Sanctuary and Convent of the Friars Minor is located on the Covignano hill against the backdrop of the sea, one of the most beautiful places in the vicinity of the city of Rimini.

Like many Marian sanctuaries, the history of devotion to the Madonna has at its origin a particular intervention by the Blessed Virgin Mary. In fact, in 1286 a shepherd named Rustico entered the Covignano wood and, seeing a trunk that recalled human features, he decided to cut it to make a statue in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Failing to do so, two young men passing by helped him, but when they greeted him they said they were angels sent by the Madonna to help him and also to tell him that the statue had to be taken to the port and placed on a boat. Rustico with regret did as he was told, and, after a short time, the boat, without the help of anyone, moved and put out to sea, followed by another boat of curious curious people from Rimini; he reached Venice and stopped in front of the Church of S. Marziale. In this church, even today, she is venerated as the "Madonna of Rimini".
The people of Rimini, so that the memory of Mary's extraordinary intervention would not be lost on the Covignano, built a small chapel on the spot, which in 1391 was replaced by a church corresponding to the current right nave, embellished by a wonderful ship's hull ceiling, which is now in the left aisle.

In 1400 the church was enlarged, in 1578 the left aisle dedicated to the Virgin of Grace was built and in 1860 it was completed as it is now. Mostly destroyed by the bombings of 1943-1944, it was rebuilt with some adaptations in 1955.
