Trail Reviews

Simone 🍂
January 11, 2025, monte Tomatico

Departure: Porcen, Seren del Grappa Travel times: the CAI 841 signpost indicated 3 hours for the climb, but it took me just over 2. In total 3.45 hours, between the outward and return journey I parked near the start of the trail (Colle la Croce), taking the narrow via Monte Tomatico for a few kilometres and leaving the car in the only available space (there were piles of logs that occupied the other 3/4 spaces) The climb through the thick woods was tiring and a bit boring; being on the Pusterno side, today it was mandatory to use crampons, as the snow was frozen. In the last stretch, however, you finally travel along the panoramic ridge to the summit cross. The view of the Vette Feltrine, the giants of the Dolomites (Civetta and Antelao), and the entire Valbelluna is splendid. You could also see Adamello in the distance. Towards the plain it was cloudy but you could still see the Venice lagoon Well marked trails
