September 27, 2021, Umrundung des Lago du Plan Palù

Unedited cell phone photos at dusk. The blue of the lake was worth seeing. Unfortunately, it is not quite clear from the signs whether the "private property" (of the hydropower plant operator) also refers to the route over the dam. In the evening I did without it despite the tempting lanterns. But you don't have to. 😛 The circular route continues through a piece of forest back to the parking lot. The view of / from the dam is already on the edge. The northern part around the lake goes up a few meters, which certainly doesn't detract from the view. End of September with roaring deer. The restaurant down by the parking lot was open, but (out of season) no food.

Beautiful high altitude lake 1700m1800 pia palu Pejo. Quiet ride for everyone

We end our tour to discover the Val di Pejo, with an easy circular route, in the cool of the pine forest and with wonderful views of Lake Pian Palù. Simply not to be missed on a beautiful sunny day like this. Just a couple of tips: 1) if you want to reach the Fontanino car park by car (cost €5), you must arrive before 10am, otherwise there is a shuttle bus service; 2) Do not eat at the La Vecchia Baita Fontanino restaurant (a branch of Lidl, which I know well as a customer).
