An easy hike starting just above Foza on the Asiago plateau, heading towards Malga Lora, just below Mount Fior. The hike can be extended by climbing Mount Fior and/or Mount Castelgomberto, sites of bloody battles during the Great War. You can also hike around Mount Fior, passing through the city of Sassi.
Tour starting from the square of Foza (VI). The circular tour first includes the climb to Malga Lora, then continues towards Malga Meletta and then descends steeply to Foza. The path up to Malga Lora is in good condition. Once past the latter it then becomes a comfortable road up to Malga Meletta. After that, to return to Foza you need to arm yourself with patience and a GPS because path number 860 is practically gone... The completely unbeaten track enters extremely thick and tall vegetation. You have to maneuver between nettles and weeds. The descending path is then really very steep. At a certain point we considered entering the woods and zigzagging down from there, thus avoiding the thick undergrowth. Therefore a beautiful and adventurous descent, also spiced up by wind and fog. We are in the places of Vaia. Its passage is all noticeable in the devastated morphology of the wooded slopes. Consequently, the paths also suffered the repercussions, disappearing in some places among small landslides or in piles of branches and trunks. It was still a nice loop.
