This route was planned by komoot.
Loop excursion on the Euganean Hills starting from Teolo (free parking in the Rocca Pendice rest area, in front of the cemetery). The path is marked with the number 2 and develops along comfortable paths, with the exception of the first stairway leading to Monte Pendice which becomes very slippery in case of rain. It is well signposted, only in a couple of crossroads can you get confused. Compared to the original route, I have added the climb to the ruins of the Olivetani monastery which is certainly worth a visit.
An excursion that was more of a fight against spiders. Many especially in Rocca Spendi
In the last stretch of the path there is a section equipped with a ladder and chain; the latter is especially useful for situations where the rock is wet.
The nature trail of the Central Euganean Hills, in the Euganean Hills Regional Park, is a ring that runs from north to south and back around Teolo and the Olivetan Monastery on Mount Venda. The trail runs for 15km of ups and downs that run along the rocky crests of the hills, passing through the main rock faces in the area. The landscape of the cones of the Euganean Hills, together with that of the rock faces and the view from the top of the peaks makes this trail particularly varied and evocative. The difficulty of the route lies in the continuous alternation of steep climbs and descents given by the conformation of the territory.
Padovano | Anello "Colli Euganei centro nord da Teolo" Trek This first walking route dedicated to the Euganean Hills has a naturalistic slant, and leads to the discovery of the woods of the central-northern area of the Park. Long paths immersed in the hornbeam, oak or chestnut woods, interrupted by a few houses and short stretches of asphalt that are rarely used. Steep climbs lead to the top of the hills, with splendid views of the many reliefs that disappear towards the large plain that surrounds the entire protected area. A landscape that is certainly unique and worth seeing. There are no bars or restaurants along the route, except in Teolo (which is worth a visit) or the only hotel-restaurant in Castelnuovo; so bring water and a snack with you. Have a good walk and let us know how it went.
Beautiful circular tour in the Euganean Hills, there is only one point that I recommend you avoid, as you can see in the photo I had to go through the hole in the fence with barbed wire ... change the route I recommend it!
