October 5, 2023, Höfeweg im Ultental

The Höfeweg in Ultental leads past beautiful old farms, all of which are still inhabited and decorated with flowers. The path also leads past the three ancient larches, at two thousand years old they are among the oldest trees in Europe. The Ultental is very original and looks like a postcard idyll. A beautiful hike that is easy but long!

Ulten farm tour Beautiful, easy hike (top tip of all hiking guides) along the valley sides and back from the Schwemmalm/ lift station. End of Zoggler reservoir. Natural foam monuments primeval larches and waterfall. Almabtrieb 🐂🐄 A highlight at the beginning of September with a farmer's market, food and drink and Goaßlschnöllen (whipping)

Today, another leisurely hike past many old, yet picturesque farms in the Ulten Valley. On the way back, you'll pass the "Ulten Urlarchen" (Ulten ancient larches), which are said to be approximately 2,000(!) years old.

Please be careful, the path from St. Gertraud is accessible to a few courtyards! Part of the route to St. Nikolaus closed longer due to tree felling work From the reservoir a boring path on the left side of the river, but all the more beautiful from St. Gertraud on the other side. Until the lock 😭

A great tour that is not very demanding and offers a beautiful view. You pass many "farms".
