At the bottom of the valley you pass some former paper mills and an inn. It is currently not in operation because the steep slope above it has slipped down due to severe erosion. In the past, there were mills not only here and in the better-known paper mill valley of Toscolano-Maderno, but also in many other valleys around Lake Garda, which produced some of the best paper in Europe in the pre-industrial era.
