We chose this tour from the hiking brochure "Hiking in Hohenlohe". Starting point: parking spaces opposite the cemetery in Ingelfingen We leave Ingelfingen directly into the vineyards, always uphill to the Criesbacher Sattel. This means that the most strenuous kilometers of the tour are already behind us. The first 10 km are comfortable on wide, paved paths via the Bobachshof and Diebach. We cover large parts of the route on asphalted but very quiet side roads. The last 5 km offer a little more variety: narrow forest paths, uneven steps and interesting gravel paths lead back into the valley to Ingelfingen. In our opinion, a detour to the Lichteneck ruins is always worthwhile! There are certainly nicer and more varied routes - especially less asphalted ones. But the tour still offers a lot of nature, peace and great views. The hike mostly runs through open landscapes - there are very few shady spots.
