Van Gogh cycle route Nuenen

Cycle through the landscape that inspired Vincent van Gogh during his years in Nuenen. This route takes you past places where he lived, worked, and created his masterpiece, The Potato Eaters. You'll ride through a typical Brabant landscape of villages, fields, and tree-lined avenues.

The route starts in Nuenen, where the Van Gogh Village Museum immerses you in his life and work. Nearby is the Van Gogh Church, where his father was a minister and which is depicted in one of his paintings.

The route continues along quiet roads and cycle paths. A special section takes you along the Wilhelmina Canal, where you can cycle along with a view of the water or simply stop for a picnic.

At the end of the route, you return to Nuenen. In the small park in the center stands a sculpture group of Van Gogh and his work. This is the perfect place to reflect on what you've seen along the way. End the day with a drink on a nearby terrace.

Now for the practical side: there are several parking options in Nuenen. You can reach Eindhoven station by bike in about 25 minutes.
