We really enjoyed this tour. Excellently marked and again provided with many rest areas. Very varied. If you wanted, you could still play music along the way.
Hike together with B, C, C, G, S, H, H, and [name missing] in glorious late autumn weather. "Around Dalem" is a high-altitude and gorge trail around Heckendalheim and leads through the beautiful Bliesgau landscape of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The trail runs partly across the limestone heights with fertile farmland and partly through the wooded gorges of the Bunter sandstone in the lower elevations.
We're already familiar with the tour, but not with the official route, which is 2 km longer. We really enjoyed it today👌🏼💚, a perfect mix of paths and trails, including short paved sections. Beautiful wildflower meadows, the buzzing of bees, PERFECT 👍🫶. The trail is now around 12.6 km long, down from 10 km originally, and we've added a bit more due to access roads.
I just really like the area there. Apparently there was an extension of the path.

Today we took advantage of the short intermediate high and drove to Heckendalheim. A beautiful, well-signposted path through the lush nature😊. Unfortunately, the second half is not that attractive and there are many asphalt roads😕. Still, kudos for the creators of this path. You can hardly find such beautiful, and also tuned, instruments otherwise
