Start of the car park (fees apply) Beautiful circular route, first slowly up through the forest, past the chapel and the water buffalo. Then a partly steep section on the forest road to the Hochälpelehütte or the summit cross. Great view 😀 at the top of the summit the path leads down with further viewpoints of Lake Constance and Pfänder. 😎Further down you can stop off at the Dornbirner Hütte.

After 8 hours at the desk, I had to clear my head today 😉 and made a quick decision to go to Bödele. I wasn't even there the whole summer, it struck me when I was on the way. Originally I only wanted to go around the Fohramoos, but unfortunately my hiking trail was closed. Anyway, I just go up to the Lank, from there you always have a fantastic view of Lake Constance. Hmmm, from there it's never far to Hochälpele, so let's go. After that I really had to hurry up, somehow the days aren't that long anymore 🤣 It was nice, the head is clear, the dog is tired and I'm hungry. That is the disadvantage if you come so late, all the huts are already closed.
When it's not that hot in summer and even a bit cloudy, then it's just the right place for doing small laps. So quickly to the Bödele alone, haven't been there in a long time. The rooty path towards Gschwendtsattel appealed to me, above the Gschwendt Alpe you have a great view. From there I turned around and returned to the circular route. It was nice and quiet, fine.
I already had some withdrawal symptoms when it came to hiking, last week it didn't work again, but today it was completely spontaneous. The weather was pretty uncomfortable, so it's all the more beautiful when the next thunderstorm front is delayed. I left the parking lot at Bödele in the direction of Lustenauer Hütte and turned right on the route in front of the chapel, I never really know how to describe it, because I don't know the names of the Alps. Hämmerle Alp? Then up to the Hochälpele hut and from the summit towards Lank. Past the Lankhütte down to the dairy, hardly a person to be seen, due to the weather, it was already unsafe today. I also recorded the opening times of the huts, which is important this year when you can finally comfortably go cycling again. But I'll be home as soon as possible because something good is brewing. And yep, came home dry. It was great!
Cozy Bödelerunde in search of the sun🌞 The start was at Gasthof Fetz in Nebel😪 direction Lank where the sun was already showing🌞👍 Continue to the Hochälpelekopf with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains such as Winterstaude, Hoher Freschen, etc. At the Hochälpele hut (currently closed) an extensive lunch break with lots of sun. Descent to the Hochälpele Alpe and on to the bus stop on the Bödele. Was a nice atmospheric quiet hike👍🥾
Short ride in the sunshine, my public transport ride when there isn't much time left 😊
A truly fitting end to the year, filled with good company and a tour bathed in sunshine from beginning to end. Of course, we escaped the fog and headed straight up to the Bödele, a well-known route that allows for two refreshment stops. The first was at the Hochälpelehütte summit, which we quickly reached from Lank via the dairy. We enjoyed our first schnapps at the Lankkreuz cross and the second at the Hochälpele summit. After enjoying our food, beer, and sunshine, we hiked down to the Älpele, took the Spechtweg trail back to our starting point, stopped again at the Bödele, and soaked up the last rays of sunshine. The four of us had a fantastic year of hiking, completed numerous tours together, and are already looking forward to the new year with wonderful experiences and unforgettable moments in the mountains! I also wish all my other Komoot friends a wonderful end to the year and many more enjoyable activities, holidays, hikes, and adventures in the magnificent mountains in 2026! Stay healthy, best wishes Birgit ♥️
