The Schärenalm is highly recommended, super delicious cake and the Kaiserschmarren is a dream. Plus the service is incredibly friendly 👏🎉
Today we were at the Blaueishütte. The well-developed hiking trail feels very steep uphill in places, but is easy to master. At the end it goes over some "stairs" to the goal. After 6km in length and 850hm you have reached your destination. From up here, the view of the Hintersee is fantastic.
First on the Schartennalm 1359 m on a forest path that is closed to mountain bikers in the forest. Then on a narrower path with a beautiful view to the trail with many, also high steps steeply up to the Blaueishütte at 1760m with a great view of the valley and the Hintersee. Then a bit further in the direction of the Blaueisgletscher, which has already retreated a lot. Back the same way.
The parking lot gets... crowded on sunny weekends.
And go on Servus, the Blaueishütt should be our day's work today. From the parking lot at the Hintersee I start our backpacks, about halfway up the hill is the Schärtenalm. Boxes stop with buttermilk and wheat, the pump and sweat ran properly 💦 The view is already mega 👀 ⛰Further it goes higher and higher with a magnificent view of the Hintersee, at the top your legs tremble with the exertion. Endless views of mountain peaks and glaciers, a long snack on the terrace quickly makes you forget the exertion. The path is not signposted but is easy to walk on. Much nicer than walking up the gravel.
