AugenBlick-Runde Sasbachwalden-Hörchenberg

The circular hiking trail, the Augenblick Runde, starting at the "Zum Alde Gott" spa hotel, is one of our most popular hiking trails. The Gaishöll waterfalls are located in a wildly romantic gorge with enormous rocks and boulders. There, you hike through the waterfall area with an elevation difference of around 200 meters, crossing 13 bridges and climbing 225 steps. From a geological perspective, the Gaishölle is a valley section of the Brandbach stream, which carved out a V-shaped valley in the granite with large accumulations of boulders. The viewpoint on the Hörchenberg offers a panoramic view of the Rhine plain – in good weather, even a view of Strasbourg Cathedral. Other highlights of this tour include the historic Straubenhof Mill from 1789, the Hofgut Wild (sleep in a wine barrel), and the schnapps fountain at the mill...

The start is at the Alde Gott spa house in Sasbachwalden. It goes past the spa park to the Gaishöll waterfalls. 13 wooden bridges lead over the Gaishöll waterfalls and you have to overcome 200 meters of altitude. Once you reach the top of Hörchenberg, you pass the Spinnerhof. Next comes the beautiful viewpoint of Sasbachwalden and the Rhine plain. Now a narrow path leads down to Hof Wild, known for sleeping in wine barrels. It continues down to the Straubenhofmühle. Now you take the Mühlenweg along the Wilden Sasbach to the car park.

An eventful round. At the beginning we head towards the Gaishöll waterfalls, which seemed very mystical today, over many footbridges and stairs we go up to the Hörchenberg, where today there was a fantastic view 😉😂. We continued to the Straubenhof with a schnapps fountain 🤪 and to the Straubenhof mill, where we then went along the Sasbach to the car park. It was positive that not many people made the trip today

Km are a few more because Kommot was temporarily not active. 🙊 Sasbachwalden is a superlative Baden wine and hiking area. Simply Baden 🫶symbadisch. Multiple times 🇬🇧Excellent across the board. Several great inns with 'excellent Baden cuisine' (🍽 Baden pleasure mile at its FINEST) 🔝🤗🔝👍 A premium hiking trail 👍 as well as 2 Schnapsbrunnen trails 1+2 with self-tasting on a trust basis, €, everything on a small scale and affordable - just Baden.
