Rüwlisbach Waterfall

Highlight • Waterfall

Hidden from the valley, only briefly visible from the road. But a very beautiful, multi-stage waterfall.

Bridge over the Simme River

Highlight • Bridge

Nice little bridge for pedestrians and cyclists. This means you can travel the whole way from Matten to Zweisimmen without crossing a single meter of main road.

September 25, 2023, Rüwlisee und die Frage: essbar oder nicht?

Clear. Everything is edible - but some maybe only once 🤪 Experienced another inspiration from @TinkaBuster today in the best mountain weather. 🤙🏻 The pass and lake are definitely worth another visit #haveagoodtrailday 🤙🏻

A wonderful evening round with buddy Hämpel. It has dried off a bit, but it's still slippery in the forest trails.

Enjoyed the nice weather again, easy tour over the Rüwlisen Pass to Hornberg. We drove a few short trails down to the valley.

Annual tour with our best friends, and as always, it's a very funny affair, there's a lot of spotting, etc. As far as biking is concerned, there are big differences, so..... women & men, but in the end we all got home safely. Luke the youngest, hats off to what the technical driver can do.👍🤗

The tour was originally planned differently, but due to forestry work, plans had to be changed. So we headed over the Rüwlis Pass towards Hornberg. At an altitude of around 1,800 m, there was still snow, and the trail had only been opened on Friday. There's actually a nice trail down from Hornberg, but I had to change my plans again because of the snow, so I couldn't get back on the trail until an altitude of around 1,600 m. Later, I did half of the Simmental Trail and took the forest road towards Ried.
