Today's hike started at the parking lot on Rochlitz Mountain. The route led along the Porphyry Trail to the Friedrich August Tower, which was erected around 1860 to commemorate the anniversary of the death of Elector Friedrich August II (1854). The Porphyry Nature Trail forms an oval around the porphyry spoil heap. There are beautiful views towards the Ore Mountains.
