Discover an ideal family hike to explore the heights of Alpe d'Huez. This short circuit, accessible to all, immerses you in the unique atmosphere of the Lac Blanc plateau. It also invites you to take your time in the heart of a wild, mineral landscape.
The departure point is at the exit of the Pic Blanc gondola lift at 2,700 meters, which provides access to the highest point of the Alpe d'Huez ski area at 3,323 meters. As soon as you exit the ski lift, you overlook the superb Lac Blanc. This glacial expanse nestles at the foot of the highest peaks of the Grandes Rousses massif.
The route generally involves circumnavigating the lake along its stony banks. Halfway along, you cross the Rif Brillant to reach the other side of the lake. You progress between the lake and the mountains until you return to the starting point at the Pic Blanc cable car.
