Hiking
From lush green alpine meadows, you hike through an increasingly rocky landscape up to the rustic Chamanna d'Es-cha, where you can stop for a bite to eat or even spend the night. You start on the Albula Pass road, which you can reach by bus or car. The nearest train station is in Vschinauncha da La Punt Chamues-ch. Initially, the climb is moderate, then the path becomes increasingly steep.
From the Gualdauna saddle, you enjoy a sweeping view back down into the valley and to the surrounding peaks, such as Piz Valletta. The section to the hut remains at a nearly constant altitude. You cross a rushing stream on a small wooden bridge, and then a delicious refreshment awaits you on the hut terrace. You follow the same path back to the starting point.

This route was planned by komoot.
Technically easy hike over mountain paths for people of normal fitness. Sturdy shoes, surefootedness and a head for heights are required. If you behave accordingly, you can see lots of marmots. The service at the hut is very good and friendly.
