This enjoyable bike tour takes you to the Lower Schranne area, to the turquoise Walchsee lake, and through the species-rich Schwemm moorland. It starts at Kufstein's Lower Town Square or at the nearby train station. You cycle along the Inn River a short distance out of town to the footbridge over the Kaiserbach stream. You bid farewell to the green river and follow the circular route through an idyllic forest and meadow landscape. With views of the Kaiser Mountains, you turn off to the Ledererwirt inn near the town of Brand.
After a quick snack, you begin the climb to Durchholzen. On the following section, you enjoy beautiful views of Walchsee and later, a dip in the same lake. You loop around the clear waters and then enter the Schwemm moorland. Take a break there and learn about this rare natural area. A wonderful descent along a stream follows back to Brand. The Inn River accompanies you for the last few kilometers back to Kufstein.
