Waldesruh is the name of this wonderful place. A nice place to rest and linger. Here the small brook Rehmecke flows past, in which various water wheels (Schlapperrad) turn. Very very nice.

Trail Reviews

Bruno... & Konsorten
August 14, 2021, Golddorf Route Bödefeld / Bödefelder Hollenpfad

Today we went to the "Golddorf" Bödefeld in dream weather. The Hollenpfad was tackled. (The planet path also starts there). A great, often pathway trail on the saga of the Hollen, who used to live in the rocks by the Hollenhaus, were kind to the good people and rewarded them with gold, but punished the greedy - so the legend (see photo). Once we walked a short stretch twice because the signpost at the turning point was broken. We then accidentally went straight ahead and then walked the loop to the water treading pool from the playground through the "dwarf forest" in reverse. Does not matter !! Fiete was allowed to run along some sections of the route more often and already got some tips from me in "Konsorten-Scheuchen". They had a lot of fun today and everything was perfect. Dream weather, dream tour! 👍👍 See you soon, your Bruno 🐾🐾 https://www.schmallenberger-sauerland.de/besonderes/tourendatenbank/?tx_npt3alpstein_tour_id=6141672&cHash=f57414d0fcd451d277b0e0a218b4d483

I really liked the Bödefeld Hollenpfad. Since the stupid Komoot in the middle said the tour was over, I reconstructed it. That is why there is a wild mix of photos. The tour was mainly in the shade and had large parts of the path. The village of Bödefeld is very pretty. The water treading pool right on the hiking trail was also very nice. A blessing in this weather. The view and the Hollenhaus rest area are the biggest highlight of the tour. The small summit cross that looks like it was hand-made, the stream with small mill wheels, pigs and the bird of prey are other small highlights. I can also recommend a final stop at Cafe Tigges in Bödefeld. Tomorrow the last tour and Sunday we go back home. Bödefeld is known for the major Bödefelder Hollenmarsch event, which will take place again in May 2023: https://www.hollenmarsch.de/

Spontaneously went to Sauerland for an overnight stay. Today we walked one of 12 Golddorf routes, the Hollenpfad. A beautiful and entertaining hike with some paths, streams and several bridges to cross. But it was often very shady and cold, but I would have liked to have filled up with a lot more 🌞 and light 🙈🙃 on this wonderful sunny day But definitely a worthwhile hike👍

So my last Golddorf route has been hiked! Start/Finish: Hiking car park at the church, Bödefeld From the church I followed the hiking signs and over pretty muddy paths. Then I went over cleared trees and uphill to the Hollenhaus. The Hollenhaus is a place of the soul and a lookout point. I went over the ridge path past the enclosure, where there were no animals to be found. The next climb went to the Kehlenberg, where I took a break and enjoyed the peace. It went downhill and instead of following the path, I went cross-country through the forest. I went downhill over root paths. Above the main road I went back to the church. Despite my 2 blisters and different socks, I was able to walk. The Golddorf route is demanding with the climbs and descents, so I couldn't hike at my normal pace!

The kids went on strike today, so we decided to go out on our own. Due to the inconsistent weather, we decided to do a short lap and walked the Bödefelder Hollenpfad 😃🥾 A wonderful hiking circuit, almost exclusively on beautiful paths and trails. Start and finish is the parking lot at the church of Bödefeld. Bödefeld, known among other things for its legend about the 'Black Hand of Bödefeld', is a beautiful village. Many typical Sauerland half-timbered houses with slanted gables and slate roofs still characterize the townscape 😍 Our home vacation is slowly coming to an end. It was a great week in perfect weather. 😎☀️ We will definitely repeat 👌🏼

Last year I found out about the Bödefeld Hollenmarsch. For me the opportunity to try a tour with altitude difference. So today I did a bit of a test hike on the Hollenpfad. A first challenge was the ascent to the Kehlenberg with 621 meters of altitude. The tour was very varied and provided with many small highlights such as the wildlife park, the Schlapperrad and very nice views. Tomorrow we'll go on the Hollenmarsch over 42 km and about 1,200 meters in altitude 🤪

What a round it was 😍😍😍 sooo great, I enjoyed every kilometer 🥾 Mandatory if you're in the Sauerland. Great round on the way back to Münsterland.

Golddorf Route Bödefeld / Bödefeld Hike: Hike through Bödefeld Type of hike: Circular Start: St. Cosmas and Damian Parish Church in Bödefeld Destination: St. Cosmas and Damian Parish Church in Bödefeld Waymarking: Golden G with a red background on a white sign Today I took the bus to Bödefeld to hike one of 12 Golddorf routes in our area. The start and finish point of the hike is at the St. Cosmas and Damian Parish Church in Bödefeld. From there, the hike continued along the foot of the Kreuzberg. Reaching Hunaustraße, we crossed it and turned onto Auf der Hütte street. Then, we continued along a meadow path to the Walkenmühle natural playground. Behind the playground, the Golddorf Route continued along a narrow path past several wooden figures to the Hollenhaus rock formation. We partially circled the rock formation and climbed up to the Alte-Liebe-Eck viewpoint. From the lookout point, the path descended to the game reserve. Behind the game reserve, there was a shelter with a view of Bödefeld. Now it was time to climb again, to Kehlenberg. After reaching the summit, the path led to the Schlapperräder (sloping bicycles) by the Rehmecke stream. I continued above Bödefeld toward Westernbödefeld. Behind another shelter, the path turned right and led back toward Bödefeld. Once I arrived in Bödefeld, I walked directly from the Schützenhalle to the bus stop, as a bus home was leaving five minutes later. If I had finished the hike to the church, I would have had to wait an hour for the next bus, and I didn't want that.
