Experience the Rußweiher nature reserve

My house tour again on Sunday. The black-headed gulls aren't here yet, only the swans from the neighboring pond have found a new place here.

After the long-awaited rain, cloudy skies, and pleasant temperatures, we packed our snacks and cameras and set off for the Rußweiher pond in the late afternoon. The cloudy sky promised exciting photos, and the cooler temperatures promised the absence of mosquitoes 😄 And indeed, it ended up being a few lovely, relaxing hours in our wonderful Upper Palatinate nature 😀😀

The Grosser Russweiher bird sanctuary is located in the Upper Palatinate not far from the small town of Eschenbach. Wonderful circular trails, moors, mosses, creative people and wild nature round off the nature experience. 😉 The only thing missing were birds.😂

Today I'm back on my house tour in typical grey. But no... something new! The beaver is back! He's been gone for a while, he was probably "removed" at the time.

A lovely morning round. This year, there were far fewer black-headed gulls breeding than in recent years, but there were plenty of greylag geese.

At the moment the black-headed gulls are breeding. Their loud screeching, which can be easily heard from afar, is impressive, and watching them is an experience.

Thanks to the intervertebral disc, I am currently on my rounds at home. But at least the larger of the two works again :)
